Commander Masters 2026 Announced: Full Reprint List Leaked Ahead of Preview Season
The most anticipated Masters set in years has its contents partially revealed — and the community is divided.
It's Official: Commander Masters Is Back
Wizards of the Coast confirmed Commander Masters 2026 during a livestream, with a release window of Q4 2026 and a price point matching the 2023 original: .99 per pack, 4 packs per draft booster box.
The set will include 40 new cards designed specifically for multiplayer, 260+ reprints, and four Commander preconstructed decks releasing alongside the main set.
The Leak: What We Think We Know
Ahead of the official preview season, a document purporting to contain the full rare and mythic rare sheet circulated on Reddit and several Discord servers. Wizards has not commented on its authenticity.
Standout cards from the alleged list:
- The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale — the most-requested reprint in Magic's history, last printed in Legends (1994)
- Jeweled Lotus — a controversial inclusion given the card's power level in casual pods
- Capture of Jingzhou — long-overdue reprint of the Time Walk variant stuck at +
- Fierce Guardianship, Deflecting Swat, Deadly Rollick — the Commander 2020 cycle that was already reprinted once
- Cavern of Souls — critical for tribal Commander strategies
Community Reaction
The reaction is predictably split. Players who have wanted Tabernacle reprinted for decades are thrilled. Others worry that a .99 pack price makes even mythic reprints inaccessible as singles, since expected value per pack rarely justifies the investment.
'If Tabernacle is real and hits -50 post-reprint, this is the best set Wizards has ever printed for Commander players,' posted one user with 12,000 upvotes.
'At a pack with lottery pack economics, this is just another wealth transfer to box openers,' replied another with 8,000.
Both are correct.
