Card Condition Guide
Every single we sell is graded by hand into one of five conditions. Here is what each grade means so you know exactly what you are buying.
Near Mint (NM)
Looks freshly opened. On close inspection there may be the faintest imperfection — a tiny edge nick or minimal surface wear — but nothing that stands out. Sleeve it and it is indistinguishable from a fresh copy.
Lightly Played (LP)
Minor wear that shows up on a close look: light scuffing, small edge or corner wear, or faint scratches. No creases and no major blemishes. Clean and fully sleeve-playable.
Moderately Played (MP)
Noticeable wear — scratching, edge or corner whitening, light scuffs, perhaps a small bend — but no serious structural damage. Clearly played, still presentable in a sleeve.
Heavily Played (HP)
Heavy wear: significant scratching, whitening, creasing, scuffs, or minor marks. The card is structurally sound but visibly well-loved, and priced to match.
Damaged (DMG)
Major flaws — heavy creasing, tears, water damage, ink, or similar. Priced accordingly. Still a real card for casual play or as a placeholder while you hunt a cleaner copy.
Grading carries some inherent subjectivity; our listings reflect our honest assessment, and minor variation within a grade is normal. If a card ever arrives noticeably worse than listed, see our refund policy — we will make it right. More questions? Our FAQ covers pricing, shipping, and returns.
