Most of the Masters of the Universe Superdrop Sold Out Inside 24 Hours — Including Both She-Ra Drops
Ten of the thirteen Masters of the Universe products on Secret Lair's US store no longer take orders, including every bundle and the She-Ra drop that carries the full-art, textless Sol Ring. Three are still selling — and the UK store still has seven.
Eternia came to Magic, and most of it is already gone. "The Most Powerful Superdrop in the Universe," Secret Lair's Masters of the Universe crossover, went on sale September 14 at 9 a.m. PT — pre-queue opened at 8 a.m. PT — exclusively at MagicSecretLair.com — and inside 24 hours, ten of the thirteen products on its US store had stopped taking orders. It's a five-drop release built entirely on reskins of existing Magic cards, announced back on August 24.
What's Gone, and What Is Still Selling
As of midday on September 15, Secret Lair's US store still takes orders for three of the thirteen Masters of the Universe products: By the Power of Grayskull! at $29.99 non-foil and $39.99 foil, and Nyah-ha-ha! at $29.99 non-foil. The other ten do not. The storefront labels them "No longer available," but the status behind that label is sold out, not withdrawn: Secret Lair's own storefront code only uses that value when a product's stock has hit zero while its sale is still live — and the sale is still live.
It is not the same everywhere. On the UK store seven of the thirteen are still selling, including She-Ra in non-foil. On the EU store only the two By the Power of Grayskull! products are left. All three bundles are gone in all three stores — the two foil bundles and the Everything Bundle were all out within half an hour of the 9 a.m. PT open on the US store, and the last US product to go, She-Ra in non-foil, lasted eight hours. Wizards has published no print-run figure and no sell-out announcement; this is what its own storefront reports.
Five Drops, One Eternia
Wizards split the Superdrop into five individually purchasable Secret Lairs, each built around a corner of the Masters of the Universe cast:
- By the Power of Grayskull! — He-Man's squad
- Nyah-ha-ha! — Skeletor's villains
- She-Ra, Princess of Power — She-Ra's crew
- Allies and Enemies of Eternia — the wider supporting cast
- Sold Separately — Battle Cat, Panthor, and equipment
Each individual drop is $29.99 non-foil or $39.99 foil. Wizards also bundled all five — all three bundles are now sold out in every region: the "I Have the Power" non-foil bundle runs $149.95, the "For the Honor of Grayskull" all-foil bundle is $199.95, and "The Most Powerful Everything Bundle" — every drop in both finishes, ten products total — is $334.99. Secret Lair throws in a foil promo Swan Song for every $149 spent; orders over $99 ship free.
What's Actually in the Boxes
Every card is a real, existing Magic card wearing new art — not a new legal card. Most also pick up an Eternia name; five keep their own (Crackle with Power, Bottomless Pit, Silence, Sol Ring, and Command Tower). The headline swaps: Winota, Joiner of Forces becomes "He-Man, Champion of Eternia," Tinybones, the Pickpocket becomes "Skeletor, Lord of Destruction," and Sisay, Weatherlight Captain becomes "She-Ra, Princess of Power." The She-Ra drop is also where the chase piece lives: a full-art, textless printing of Sol Ring, riding alongside Silence, Emiel the Blessed (as Swift Wind), Hajar, Loyal Bodyguard (as Bow), and Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar (as Catra).
The rest of the cast fills out fast: Crackle with Power, Delina, Wild Mage (Orko), Bruenor Battlehammer (Man-at-Arms), and Konda's Banner round out the He-Man drop; Tasha's Hideous Laughter, Bottomless Pit, Necrogen Mists, and Breach the Multiverse fill Skeletor's; and Sakashima the Impostor, Kona, Rescue Beastie, Ertai Resurrected, Derevi, Empyrial Tactician, Samut, Voice of Dissent, and Tetsuo, Imperial Champion cover "Allies and Enemies." "Sold Separately" pairs Fortune, Loyal Steed (Battle Cat) and The Gitrog, Ravenous Ride (Panthor) with Throne of the God-Pharaoh, Sword of War and Peace, and a double-sided Command Tower.
The Collecting Angle
None of these are new cards mechanically — they're the same Winota, the same Sol Ring, the same Command Tower your deck already runs, just wearing new art. That means the actual gameplay impact is zero, and the draw is the art-and-nostalgia crossover. Wargamer reports that this Superdrop is not print-to-demand, unlike the recent Hatsune Miku deck — so it's a fixed run rather than an open ordering window. The first day is what a fixed run looks like in practice: three of the five drops are gone in both finishes on the US store, and so is every bundle.
