Wizards of the Coast and TCGplayer are putting Magic pros behind a good cause. On Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET, a competitive-play booster draft tournament at Wizards of the Coast headquarters in Renton, Washington will raise money for two youth- and community-focused charities.

Confirmed players include Magic Hall of Famers Reid Duke (Team TCGplayer) and Luis Scott-Vargas, joined by current and former Wizards of the Coast and TCGplayer staff for a day of competitive draft.
Where the money goes
The structure is straightforward and already funded before a single pack is opened: Wizards of the Coast is contributing $25,000 to Extra Life, and TCGplayer is contributing $25,000 to MagiKids, for a combined $50,000 base pledge. On top of that, an interactive charity auction on eBay Live will run alongside the tournament, with proceeds split evenly between both organizations. Auction items include one-of-one original artwork by Tyler Jacobson — the artist behind Ajani Resolute and Ajani Unrelenting — plus artist-signed memorabilia and other Magic collectibles donated by Wizards, TCGplayer, and eBay.
MagiKids provides free cards, supplies, and mentorship resources to educators and youth organizations introducing new players to Magic. Extra Life raises funds for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals through gaming marathons and events like this one.
