Secret Lair Reveals Marvel's History of Heroes Countdown Kit: 30 Cards, $199.99, On Sale November 2
Revealed at NYCC, the next Countdown Kit wraps 87 years of Marvel history into an advent-calendar-style drop with a foil upgrade chance on every card.
Wizards used New York Comic Con to reveal the next Secret Lair Countdown Kit on October 10, 2026: Marvel's History of Heroes, a 30-card collection going on sale November 2, 2026 at 9 a.m. PT for $199.99, exclusively through secretlair.wizards.com.
Thirty cards, thirty artists, eighty-seven years
Wizards' own framing for the drop: "This drop is a 30-card collection that celebrates iconic moments and heroes from Marvel's storied comic book history." The MTG Secret Lair account on X pegged the timeline at 87 years of Marvel Comics history, with artwork from more than 30 different artists across the kit.
The advent calendar format
Like earlier Secret Lair Countdown Kits, Marvel's History of Heroes ships as individually wrapped cards, one surprise at a time, in the style of an advent calendar. Each card also carries a chance to be upgraded to traditional foil or halo foil.
What's been revealed so far
Three cards have been shown off: Fierce Guardianship, Heroic Intervention, and a Daredevil-themed "Fighter Class," each rendered in a different comic-inspired art style. Wizards hasn't published the full 30-card list yet; expect the rest to surface in the run-up to the November 2 sale.
