What's Landed Since Live Prices

The last thing we announced here was live market prices on every card, back at the start of July. A few things have gone in since, and rather than let them arrive unmentioned, here they are in one place.

Build a deck, and buy exactly what you need

The Deckbuilder is live. Build a deck, save it, and get a public page for it you can send to anybody — decklist viewer, command zone, one-tap copy of the list.

The part that actually saves you money is the quote: it prices your deck against what we have in stock, so you can see what a build costs before you commit to it. Paste a list you already have into Import List and it does the same thing in reverse.

Your collection, down to the printing

Star any card from a search sheet and it goes into your collection — and it remembers the printing, not just the name. A foil Alpha copy and a Jumpstart reprint are not the same card, and the tracker no longer pretends otherwise.

It is on your account page, and it is free.

174 precons on the shelf

The deck shelf used to have one deck on it. It now holds 174 official Commander precons — every one Wizards has released — each with its full list and, where we could derive it honestly, a plain description of what the deck actually does, written from its own cards.

A word on those descriptions: they are ours, not the box text. We do not have the publisher's blurb and were not going to invent one, so what you read is a summary of the cards in front of us. Where a deck has a proper primer, that wins.

Two-factor on your account

You can now protect your account with an authenticator app — set it up from your account page in about a minute. If you have ever reused a password anywhere, this is the single most useful thing on this list.

Orders that ship in parts now say so

Some orders leave in more than one parcel — cards from us, printed goods from the press. Those now carry tracking for each part, and the order only counts as delivered when the last part actually arrives, rather than when the first one does.

And the navigation stopped hiding things

The menu is grouped now — Shop, Tools, More — because a flat list of fifteen links is a list nobody reads.

One thing that is not done

The deck quote reads only the first page of our catalogue, which means an occasional deck is priced as though we are missing a card we actually have. It is on the list, it is not fixed yet, and you should double-check a quote that looks too cheap.
